Trevor Wye has been presenting his Carnival Show for more than thirty five years throughout the world. The Carnival Show is a programme in which the first half is a recital on the flute d’amour and after the interval, a performance of the famous
50 Variations on the Carnival of Venice for 60 Flutes and Piano.
The Carnival Variations include Mozart's original Magic Flute', a flute which flames, the Emotive Flute, a human tibia, the world's rarest flute - the triple flageolet, a flute 750 years old, a bicycle pump, several electronic flutes, a vegetable flute, a flute which sends out fire, and many more. The Variations include music by Alford, Bach, Beethoven, Briccialdi, Chopin, Drouet, Genin, Greig, Mendelssohn, Mozart, Rakmaninov, Rossini, Sousa, Saint-Saens, Scott, Strauss, Schubert, Spike Jones, Tchaikovsky, Weber, Wye, and Bloggs and a bit more Mozart.
