A professionally filmed performance of the Carnival Variations was recorded at a live concert in the University of New Mexico, USA. and available on DVD.
It includes variations on Mozart's original Magic Flute', a flute which flames, a human tibia, the world's rarest flute - the triple flageolet, an ocarina 750 years old, a bicycle pump, several electronic flutes, a bubble flute, a flute which sends out fire, a vegetable flute and many more. The Variations include music by Alford, Beethoven, Briccialdi, Chopin, Genin, Greig, Mendelssohn, Mozart, Rakmaninov, Rossini, Sousa, Saint-Saens, Scott, Strauss, Schubert, Spike Jones, Tchaikovsky, Weber, Wye, and Hieronymous Bloggs.
The electronic flutes were made by Trevor Wye.
